I will be sharing with you this month on the Holy Spirit. Today; we shall focus on " The Communion of the Holy Spirit". What is Communion? Communion simply put is To Communicate or To Travel Together. The Splendid development in the society has made it easy for people to Communicate. As Communication and Transportation is Good for the development of the society; The Communion of the Holy Spirit( daily Communication and Constant Fellowship) is essential for our spiritual well-being.
The measure of our faith is in direct proportion to our communion with the Holy Spirit. Through the Communion of the Holy Spirit, we receive Spiritual blessing( Physical as well) and we express our earnest desire to Him. Through our heart are full of earnest desires, if the holy spirit does not help us commune with God through Prayer we cannot Pray Properly. ( 2 Thess 3:5, Rom 8:26, Jude 20).
In 2 Cor 13:14, The Word Communion, as used by Paul in his Corinthian Benedication, "........ The Communion of the Holy Ghost be with you all......." has deep Implications. The Greek Words has Two Important Meanings; Which are
* Fellowship
* Partnership in Evangelism.
FELLOWSHIP
These means Intercourse of Fellowship on the basis of intimate Friendship. Without Fellowship with the Holy Spirit there can be no spiritual life, no faith with power and Victory. These was the Foundation of the early Church.
HOW DO WE HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT.
We must acknowledge that he is present in his church and welcome him.
We must Earnestly desire his Guidance and Opening our hearts to depend on Him Continually.
The Love of God and the Grace of Jesus can Reach our Spirit only Through Fellowship and Communion with the Holy Spirit.
